A Humanist funeral is a non-religious ceremony, which marks the passing of a loved one focusing on the celebration of that person’s life.

It balances the sadness of loss with reflections that capture the life of the deceased with dignity and warmth.

The bereaved family may wish to include contributions from family and friends or for the ceremony to be conducted entirely by the celebrant.

‘We would like to thank you for all that you did to help us navigate the difficult circumstances of the past week. We greatly appreciated your kindness, patience and professionalism. The ceremony was very much in keeping with what our loved one would have wanted.’

As an accredited Humanist celebrant I will guide and support you in creating the right ceremony for your loved one, from the writing of the eulogy to finding the most suitable readings, music and symbolic elements.

I will meet with you and your family in-person if preferred, or by phone or on Zoom.

I can help to write the eulogy for you, or guide a family member or friend if required.

My role is to work with you to create a ceremony that is in line with your wishes.

Creating a ceremony that is meaningful to you and that captures the personality, spirit and essence of your loved one.
